The Weekly Yellow Path Five-Element Training Structure: Flexibility Meets Depth.
Our programme is designed with flexibility for adult learners in mind — ideal if you're balancing training with work, family or other commitments.
Each week typically includes:
1. One Day of In-Person or Online Group Learning
Students come together for an immersive session — either in person (London-based) or virtually. These days are a rich mix of:
- Theory and classical Five Element teachings
- Observation and practice
- Group reflection and sharing
You’ll learn about the five elements — Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water — and how they present in real people. We explore signs, symptoms, emotional cues, colour, sound, odour and spirit.

2. Self-Study and Reflective Practice
Outside the group day, you’ll engage in around 4–6 hours of self-directed study per week. This includes:
- Watching recorded lectures from our founder, Gerad Kite
- Writing reflections on personal development and patient observation
- Preparing questions and insights for the next session
Explore Gerad Kite’s book, “The Art of Baby Making” and “Everything You Need You Have” for a taste of his teachings.
3. Hands-On Practice and Supervision
From early in the course, you’ll begin practising pulse-taking, element diagnosis and treatment planning under supervision.
As the course progresses, you'll spend more time in clinical settings — observing real treatments and, eventually, treating your own patients with support from experienced tutors.
Did you know? Students at Yellow Path often begin seeing patients during their final year, building confidence and clinical skills.
4. Emotional and Spiritual Development
Unlike many training programmes, Yellow Path places strong emphasis on the inner journey of the practitioner. We believe that to treat others deeply, you must first understand yourself.
Weekly check-ins and journaling support your emotional awareness, while group work helps you develop essential qualities such as:
- Presence
- Listening
- Intuition
- Energetic boundaries
