Low-Cost Clinic

How We Can Help

Yellow Path makes high-quality Five-Element acupuncture more accessible and affordable through our Low-Cost Clinic, offering carefully supervised treatments in a supportive and professional teaching environment.

  • In Five-Element acupuncture, stress and anxiety are seen as the outcome of a disturbance in the natural flow of energy that helps us transition from one emotional  state to another. When the five elements lose their natural equilibrium, what we call stress or anxiety, shows as emotional symptoms that arise as an indication that the balance has been lost. Treatment helps restore the natural order in a person so that they can deal with difficult situations and/or people in their life and not lose that all important equilibrium.

  • Low energy is seen as a sign that either the body’s deeper reserves are struggling to keep pace with life’s demands or the natural flow has been compromised in some way. Five-Element treatment works to rebuild balance and harmony which in turn brings vitality and strength.

  • Digestive difficulties are often linked to imbalance in how the body transforms and distributes nourishment, both physical and emotional. Five-Element acupuncture helps restore ease and rhythm in these processes. As balance improves, symptoms such as discomfort, bloating, or irregularity often reduce naturally.

  • Sleep problems arise when there is insufficient harmony between the external activity of the day and the internal activity of the night that is needed to have deep restorative rest. Five-Element acupuncture helps support this dual process by restoring an inner balance and harmony. Over time, this encourages deeper, more restorative rest and a clearer sense of renewal on waking.

  •  Five-Element acupuncture was originally developed as preventative medicine. By isolating the cause of imbalance in a person, treatment helps maintain the correct inner balance that keeps us alive and gives us the ability to thrive. Health was considered to be our ability to recover from the normal pressures of life, rather than expect to always be well. Regular treatment helps the body adapt to change, preventing imbalance before it becomes illness. This approach supports long-term resilience and emotional as well as physical wellbeing.

  • From a Five-Element perspective, hormonal symptoms reflect disrupted cycles and internal timing that affect the endocrine system. Treatment supports the organs that work together to ensure smoother transitions and restore coherence within the body’s natural rhythms. Care is personalised, acknowledging that each person’s balance is unique.

  • Pain is understood as a sign that flow and communication within the system are restricted. Five-Element acupuncture helps release holding patterns and restore movement and ease. This often reduces both the frequency and intensity of pain, while addressing underlying stress patterns.

  •  Low immunity is seen as a symptom that can be the outcome of an overall imbalance within all the organs. Rather than focus on low immunity as a symptom to be corrected, the Five-Element acupuncturist works to restore an inner balance and harmony - the result being a stronger and more efficient system affecting every area of the person’s health. Over time, this can lead to fewer illnesses and greater overall resilience.

  • In Five-Element acupuncture, fertility is approached by recognising that every part of us is required to be healthy in order to be fertile. Treatment focuses on bringing back a general sense of well being by reducing stress and restoring confidence in the body’s natural intelligence. This creates a more supportive internal environment for conception and reproductive health.

Healing System

Five-Element Acupuncture: A Complete System of Healing

Five-Element Acupuncture is a complete system of medicine that restores the balance of body, mind, and spirit. Treatment awakens your innate intelligence to heal and find a sense of inner peace.

Rooted in the reality that all life is composed of energy (qi), expressed through the five elements of Nature—Water, Wood, Fire, Earth, and Metal—this medicine treats imbalance at its source. Through precise diagnosis and the use of fine needles, your energy is balanced and restored.

The Yellow Path Low-Cost Clinic was founded by leading Five-Element acupuncturist Gerad Kite in collaboration with Yellow Path alumni and is run by trained practitioners from the Yellow Path acupuncture community. Its purpose is simple: to make high quality Five-Element acupuncture more accessible and affordable.

All treatments are provided by Yellow Path alumni practitioners and attend post-graduate training within the Yellow Path clinical approach.

Your care is supported not only by your practitioner but by a wider professional network. Practitioners have the opportunity to bring patients to senior practitioners for support with diagnosis, treatment planning and clinical decision-making. On occasion, Gerad Kite and other senior practitioners also visit the clinic to support the alumni practitioners.

Many people find the Low-Cost Clinic a reassuring, clinically grounded way to receive consistent and effective treatment at a more affordable rate.

Our Clinic Practitioners

Matilda Ruck

Practitioner
Having completed her Licentiate, Matilda is currently enrolled on the Advanced Licentiate Programme under the guidance of renowned practitioner Gerad Kite. Tilda works with the depth and wisdom of classical medicine to support people back to a place of balance and resilience. With a background in yoga, psychosynthesis, and cultural intelligence, Tilda bridges traditional healing with an understanding of human behaviour and the complex pressures that shape our modern lives. Using her deep sensitivity to patterns and the ways modern life can unsettle our natural rhythms, she works with supporting people whose experiences don’t always fit neatly into clear diagnoses. Through her gentle and deeply personalised approach, Tilda seeks to not only guide people toward renewed balance and vitality, but also a deeper connection with both their inner and outer worlds in the process.

Robert Bevan

Practitioner
Rob is a fully qualified (Lic.Ac.) Five-Element acupuncturist. In addition to working at the Low-Cost Clinic, he is a member of the Yellow Path teaching faculty and operates from the Kite Clinic in central London. Before becoming an acupuncturist, Robert ran his own businesses, including film production and record labels, alongside other creative ventures. He has spent over 30 years exploring a wide range of philosophies, spiritual teachings, and practices, from Yoga and Advaita Vedanta to Tai Chi and Taoism.

Yaya Hampel

Practitioner
Yaya is a Five-Element acupuncturist trained at Yellow Path under Gerad Kite and the teaching team, bringing a grounded, emotionally attuned approach to patient care. Her path into acupuncture followed a period of burnout, loss of direction, and feeling deeply disconnected from herself. Experiencing the power of this ancient medicine firsthand — particularly its ability to restore clarity, hope, and a sense of purpose — reshaped how she understood both healing and wellbeing. Yaya’s work centres on the relationship between mind and body, and she draws on her background in psychology to support patients through emotional, physical, and transitional challenges. Her treatments are known for being calming, thoughtful, and deeply attentive, helping people feel heard, steadied, and more like themselves again. Alongside her clinical work, Yaya runs her own practice on Queen Anne’s Street, treats patients in Shoreditch, and mentors students at Yellow Path. She is passionate about supporting both patients and future practitioners with care rooted in presence, respect for the tradition, and genuine human connection.

Christian Gordine

Practitioner
Christian is a Five-Element acupuncturist originally from the South Wales valleys, now based in London. Before retraining, he worked in production and advertising, directing and producing music videos and commercials while living across Liverpool, Marrakech, Berlin, and Tanzania. Although creatively fulfilling, the pace and pressure of this work led to burnout, alongside experiences of depression and OCD. Encountering Five-Element acupuncture marked a turning point. The medicine supported a deeper reconnection with the body and the relationship between mind, body, and spirit, leading Christian to retrain in this system of healing. Today, he brings both clinical training and lived experience to his practice, offering calm, emotionally attuned treatments for those navigating stress, transition, or imbalance. He is also a volunteer acupuncturist at St John’s Hospice.

Charlotte Ritchie

Practitioner
After graduating with a distinction in Medicine from Newcastle University, Charlotte worked as a medical doctor in the UK and Australia for over 14 years. During this time she developed a strong clinical foundation while becoming increasingly aware of the limitations of a purely biomedical approach for some patients. Motivated to broaden her medical skillset and work within a more holistic model of care, she undertook training in Five-Element acupuncture at Yellow Path. This training has given her a unique perspective on the interplay between modern Western medicine and the traditional wisdom of Chinese medicine and how the two can be integrated in clinical practice. Charlotte has a particular enthusiasm for treating hormonal imbalances, supporting fertility and working with conditions that have proved refractory to conventional treatment strategies.
